MEDIA RELEASE
June 22, 2007

Home:The Peace Convergence Organising Collective is concerned the reports of June Norman as a missing person have inappropriately portrayed the position of the protestors who have entered the SWBTA.

Our main concern for the health and safety of June and her friends, is that the military has failed to cease its activities while civilians are on the site.

June Norman and her team have entered the military zone well prepared and with intention to remain on site until military activities cease.

They conscientiously and purposefully put their lives on the line in order to show their opposition to the war on Iraq and the training for more wars.

They are of sound mind and their actions are consistent with their values.

We have no doubt that if June were physically harmed, she and her companions would leave the military zone.

We have had contact with June today and she is well and in good spirits.

22 June, 2007.
